Eighteen and glowing, Kai Trump just stepped into her senior year and the stylish back-to-school moment is already turning heads online.
The eldest granddaughter of President Donald J. Trump shared a sweet photo carousel this week, commemorating her very last first day of high school. And yes, she brought both the fashion and the feels.
A confident start, a classic look
In a now-viral Instagram post, Kai stood beaming in a parking lot, dressed in a blue polo tucked into a pleated khaki skirt, paired with fresh white sneakers. Behind her, the rear windshield of a classmate’s car proudly shouted out: “Class of 2026.”

“I cannot believe it’s my last first day of high school,” she wrote. “Senior year here we come 🥹 #friends #senioryear.”
From laughs with her friends to a heartfelt pose with mom Vanessa Trump, Kai’s back-to-school post felt like a warm hug from a family that knows how to celebrate milestones, especially this one.
A new car, a college dream — and a grandpa’s legacy
In a notable shift, Kai posed beside a Cadillac Escalade, a departure from the Tesla Cybertruck she once drove — a gift from her grandfather, which she no longer appears to drive following his public fallout with Elon Musk.

This time, the car’s back window was decorated with a big, bold “U,” celebrating Kai’s commitment to the University of Miami, announced in April 2024, where she’ll join the golf team next year.
“I am super excited to be a Cane,” she posted earlier this year. “Gooo Canes!”
But it’s not just her mom and dad, Donald Trump Jr., who helped her reach this moment. Kai gave a loving shoutout to her famous grandfather last spring when she announced her college plans, writing:
“I would like to thank my Grandpa for giving me access to great courses and tremendous support.”

Competitive spirit — and classic Trump wit
A rising star on the junior golf circuit, Kai has been swinging clubs since the age of two. She helped her team at the Benjamin School clinch a district title last season, and she’s already getting attention in the college sports world and beyond. She is currently ranked 530 by the American Junior Golf Association and placed No. 81 nationally among high school and college athletes for NIL valuations, according to On3.com.
But it was at the 2024 Republican National Convention that Kai truly won hearts, taking the stage with warmth and a little bit of swagger as she described what it’s like playing golf with her grandfather:

“If I’m not on his team, he’ll try to get inside my head,” she said with a grin. “He’s always surprised that I don’t let him get to me. I have to remind him that I’m a Trump too.”
More than a student athlete — a star in her own right
With her poise, sense of humor, and genuine love for family, Kai Trump is clearly charting her own course — one that’s grounded in tradition but uniquely her own.
And as she enters her senior year, it’s clear: this next generation of Trumps is just getting started.
