Taylor Swift may be known for her poetic lyrics, but her most touching words lately weren’t in a song. They were about her fiancé, Travis Kelce.
During an August appearance on the New Heights podcast, Swift called the Kansas City Chiefs star a “human exclamation point” — a phrase that instantly struck a chord with his brother, Jason Kelce.
“The human exclamation point was the best way I’ve ever heard Travis described in my life,” Jason later admitted on the Bussin’ with the Boys podcast. “The dude just brings joy to every place he ever is, and people love him. And he makes everything better.”
Big brother pride and wedding dreams
Jason, who retired earlier this year after a legendary run with the Philadelphia Eagles, couldn’t hold back his emotions as he explained why Swift’s words mattered so much.
“To watch them support each other, love each other, and get to this stage, and now to have this together. I’m just… I’m very happy for him,” he shared.
The proud big brother also hinted that he wouldn’t mind standing beside Travis on the biggest day of his life. “Hopefully I’m the best man. Trav has a lot of friends. I’m just hoping to get the opportunity,” he laughed.
Co-hosts Will Compton and Taylor Lewan even teased that Jason’s heartfelt comments sounded like a preview of his future wedding speech.
A match made in music and football
Beyond the jokes, Jason made it clear he sees Travis and Taylor as the real deal. “I’ve been blessed to get to know Taylor over the last couple years. And I just think that they match so well together. They are unbelievably supportive of each other and both of their outlandishly successful worlds,” he said.
Jason also reflected on what it means to see his younger brother so happy. “I love my brother, and I just want him to have the most fulfilled, best life possible. And such a huge part of that is who you end up marrying, who you end up raising a family with.”
As for the now-famous phrase, Jason isn’t letting it go anytime soon. On a later New Heights episode, he told Travis he’s already planning to “steal” the nickname and use it moving forward.
The proposal heard ’round the world
With Travis and Taylor’s engagement dubbed by Jason as “the proposal heard ’round the world,” the Kelce family’s love story just keeps growing and fans can’t get enough.
Whether it’s Jason tearing up over his brother’s happiness or Taylor showing the world exactly how much she adores her fiancé, it’s clear the Kelces have found something bigger than football: family, love, and a new chapter worth celebrating.
