The secret behind Marla Maples’ stunning figure? It all starts before she even has her first bite.
At 61, the former wife of President Donald Trump is turning heads with her youthful glow and fit frame and now fans know why. During a sun-soaked trip to Hvar, Croatia, the actress and wellness advocate gave Instagram a peek into her enviable lifestyle, leaving her 251k followers in awe. The comments poured in: “Beautiful,” “Timeless,” “In amazing shape.”
And according to Marla, her daily routine, from hot lemon water to tennis matches, is the not-so-secret key.
Her go-to breakfast is all about energy and intention
Maples starts her mornings with a wellness ritual that sounds more spa menu than breakfast order. It kicks off with a mug of hot water infused with half a lemon and a pinch of Himalayan or Celtic salt — a cleansing ritual she swears by.
Then come the superfoods.
She follows up with:
- 2 oz. of fresh wheatgrass
- A green juice blend with Hawaiian Spirulina, Barley Grass powder, water, celery, lemon, and parsley
- Superfood oatmeal from Purely Elizabeth soaked in unsweetened hemp milk, topped with wild blueberries, mango or raspberries, and a a touch of plain unsweetened coconut or cashew yogurt, plus a sprinkle of Tigernuts and Ceylon cinnamon
It’s not your average breakfast… but then again, Marla Maples isn’t your average 61-year-old.
“I swim, I play tennis, I shoot hoops” — Marla’s movement mantra
Breakfast is just the beginning. To keep up her mind-body glow, Maples leans into movement, lots of it. Her weekly routine includes everything from swimming and Iyengar yoga to weight training and, yes, even competitive tennis.

“Though I can’t keep up with this schedule every day, I know my week goes better when I’ve taken this time for myself,” she told People.
And hydration is non-negotiable. She makes sure to drink four to five large glasses of water a day which is a must when you’re juggling workouts and travel.
A mostly vegetarian plate — but with one exception
Marla’s food choices reflect her wellness-first mindset. She follows a primarily vegetarian diet, often avoiding animal products altogether. But there’s a twist. She was raised in a family of hunters, so meat still makes a rare appearance on her plate.
It’s a balance she’s comfortable with and one that dietitian Marisa Moore says works well for her.
What a nutritionist says about Marla’s choices
“She takes in copious healthy fats from a variety of sources like hemp and olive oils, chia seeds, pine nuts, and avocado,” Moore told People. While she doesn’t rely on animal protein, the dietitian suggested she could boost her intake with more edamame, beans, or peas to help support muscle tone.
The real key, though? Her mindset.
“She skips the labels,” Moore said. “What’s important is that she gets the nutrition necessary to maintain lifelong health and that she has a healthy relationship with the foods she eats and prepares.”
So while her wellness routine may sound intense, Marla Maples keeps it rooted in joy, energy, and intention and it shows.
